Weather Conditions The weather is always a factor that demands attention when going out on the water. Kayaking is a very versatile activity; if you’re prepared it’s easy to enjoy the mystical atmosphere provided by light rain or cloud cover. Decisions to cancel trip due to weather (thunder/lightning) will be made at the location of the paddle only. 
Reservation Terms & Conditions Payment for tours must be made at the time of sign-up, either on our website or over the phone. Payments cannot be made at the location of the trip except on rare occasions which have been approved. Cancellations made 48 hours in advance can receive a full refund.  This cancellation must be made by phone.  Emails will not be considered for cancellations.  Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the trip date and customer will receive a reschedule for a different date. Any cancellation made in less than 24 hours of the trip date cannot be refunded or rescheduled. Anyone who arrives at the lake later than 30 minutes of the meet time will be classified as a no-show unless prior arrangements have been made and at which time the group will proceed with the tour. No-shows will not be refunded or rescheduled. Paddles canceled due to weather will be given a credit or reschedule for a paddle of your choice of the same amount of hours.  If the trip or class is postponed because of bad weather, it will be rescheduled. If the trip or class is canceled by Smoky Mountain Kayaking or if the participant can't reschedule to the new date, the trip fee will be refunded. All participants are required to fill out and sign a liability waiver before participating in any trips or classes.
